Deputy Laboratory Manager

SIMS IVF is excited to announce the opening of a Deputy Laboratory Manager position in our Dublin clinic. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced embryologist looking to grow or develop their existing management skills within the largest Assisted Reproductive clinic in the Republic of Ireland. As part of the Virtus Health group, this position offers the successful applicant the opportunity to join a clinic at the forefront of patient care, offering a full range of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. We currently perform 1100 fresh cycles, 1000 frozen embryo transfers and 600 IUIs in addition to TESE and gamete/embryo cryopreservation. We introduced a PGS service in January 2018, with 150 patients scheduled for the first year and further growth to continue. The laboratory also works with up-to-date time-lapse technology which plays a large role within our clinical programme. We are looking for a highly dedicated and motivated individual to join our team of 10 skilled embryologists. You will play a key role in the provision of clinical service for patients and provide support for the Laboratory Manager, including deputising in their absence. You will be expected to have a flexible attitude in line with the changing demands of the position. Alongside the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for organising the day-to-day workload, including supervision of the embryology and andrology services and training of embryology members according to individual and laboratory requirements. You will participate and contribute to maintaining and improving standards of service including ensuring appropriate laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures, quality management, monitoring of laboratory performance, troubleshooting and audits. Your role will also involve clinical discussion, non-routine clinical decision making within the embryology laboratory in addition to the normal working tasks of an embryologist within our team. The successful applicant should be proficient in ICSI and vitrification. Experience in IMSI and embryo biopsy is preferable, however training can be provided. The ideal applicant would also have demonstrable experience in quality assurance and team leadership. SIMS IVF Dublin is located in Clonskeagh, in South Dublin City. Located a 15 minute drive from the City Centre or the M50 offers the successful applicant an ideal location for access from multiple locations.
